The KEYENCE LR-TB5000CL is a high-performance laser amplification sensor designed for precise detection and measurement in industrial automation environments. It belongs to the Whisker.Block® series and features a reflection-type digital laser sensor configuration. This sensor is renowned for its exceptional accuracy, environmental adaptability, and versatile output options, making it a preferred choice for factory automation, material handling, robotic navigation, and anti-collision systems.



Technical Specifications:

Type and Light Source:

The LR-TB5000CL is a reflection-type digital laser sensor with a green LED light source (660nm red laser).

It is classified as a Class 1 laser product, adhering to IEC60825-1 and FDA (CDRH) Part1040.10 standards.


Detection Range and Spot Diameter:

The sensor offers a variable detection distance ranging from 60mm to 5000mm (5m).

The spot diameter is adjustable and can be used effectively at ø40mm or less.


Output Configuration:

It supports both NPN and PNP output configurations, facilitating easy integration with various control systems.

The sensor also features I/O control output, analog output (current and voltage), and supports IO-Link Specification v.1.1 / COM2 (38.4 kbps).


Response Time and Anti-Interference:

The response time is selectable, ranging from 2ms to 2000ms, catering to different application requirements.

It can prevent mutual interference from up to 4 sensors when using the interference prevention function.


Environmental Adaptability:

The LR-TB5000CL operates in a wide temperature range from -20°C to +55°C (environmental temperature).

It has an IP65/IP67 enclosure rating, ensuring protection against dust and water ingress.

The sensor is resistant to environmental light interference up to 100,000 lux (incandescent/daylight).


Power Supply and Consumption:

It requires a power supply voltage of 20 to 30VDC, with a consumption current of 50mA or less (excluding load).


Physical Characteristics:

The sensor's housing is made of zinc die-casting (nickel-chrome plated), with other components including PES, PMMA, PBT, and PVC.

It has an M12 connector with a cable, facilitating easy installation and connectivity.


Additional Features:

The LR-TB5000CL includes a timer function with options for OFF/OFF-delay/ON-delay/single pulse.

It supports external input for functions like light emission stop, tuning, and reference plane update (when using DATUM mode).
