The Allen-Bradley 1794-IA16 is a discrete input module that is part of the Flex I/O product family. This module contains 16 non-isolated discrete AC input modules that can be used to connect a variety of electrical and signal devices. This module supports DIN rail mounting.

The 1794-IA16 is compatible with Flex I/O communication adapters (such as ControlNet adapters with product numbers 1794-ACN, 1794-ACNR, and 1794-ACNR15), Ethernet communication adapters (such as 1794-AENT and 1794-AENTR), and remote I/O adapters with product number 1794-ASB).

The 1794-IA16 is essentially just an I/O circuit, and for termination and installation, a terminal block is required to be used with the AC input module. 1794-IA16 compatible terminal blocks include 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TBN, 1794-TB3K, 1794-TB3SK, and 1794-TBNK. The terminal blocks also support daisy-chain power connections. Power connections can be moved from one module to another without physically connecting to the power supply. This simplifies wiring and reduces wire lengths.
